"May I See Some I.D.?" Chocolate Milk

On Friday afternoon at our clubhouse we have "Happy Hour". Sometimes there is live music. Other times our lifestyle director has us playing some sort of wild party game. But always we have drinks of our choice: wine, beer, mixed drinks or something non-alcoholic.

As soon as I saw this recipe in Food Network Magazine, I thought of Happy Hour. In my opinion this drink is purely for sipping because milk and alcohol can be ugly bed partners.

Ingredients:
1 cup whole milk
1/4 cup water
1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
1 teaspoon sugar
3/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips
(I added the Kahlua)

Directions:
In a saucepan add milk, water, cocoa powder and sugar. Bring to simmer and whisking till lumps have dissolved. Remove from heat and add chocolate chips. Stir until chocolate has completely melted. Pour into ice cube trays.

For two drinks, mix a shot of Kahlua with one cup of milk. Place as many ice cubes that will fit in your glass (I'm using small tasting glasses). Pour Kahlua milk over and enjoy.
