Bucket List

While y'all were safe in your kitchens baking cookies and cupcakes. Pap and I were scared shitless enjoying ourselves on a zip-line.

Pap and I resting between zips.

Me coming in for a landing.

Pap coming in for a landing.

This is my gloved hand. Take notice of the zip-line traveling off into the woods.

                                                               Happy old fools.

Experience a heightened perspective on life at North Georgia Canopy Tours! Both Eco-Tours begin “low and slow,” but you’ll soon find yourself zipping at greater heights and speeds through the lush canopy. Enjoy a birds-eye view of the North Oconee River, ravines, ponds, pastures, and wildlife. Soar through the air attached to a steel cable—which will soon disappear from your consciousness. Two certified eco-trained guides lead up to eight participants on each Tour, which include ziplines, sky bridges, and moderate hikes through a natural beautiful area. Conclude with a thrilling finale - a 680-foot dual zip over the Hilltop Pond in front of the Tour Observation Deck.

Wow, you sure are brave! I'm afraid of heights, so that leaves me out! But it looks like fun!

Marguerite, I'm afraid of heights also. I mean big time afraid. I don't even like to fly. But this was something daring that I wanted to do.... so I sucked it up and did it.

The scared of heights girl in me is cringing! But the adventurous nature lover in me wants to do that too! How fun!

You are so adventurous! I love it. I have always wanted to try this. When we were in New Hampshire this summer, I almost did but then chickened out. Someday:)

Oh for Pete's sake.... next thing you know you two will be joining the circus. Just because you can fly through the air with the greatest of ease, it doesn't mean you should do so without inviting the rest of us along.

LOVE IT MOOGIE... You go girl.. and your bucket list too!

Love the photo of your hand with the line travelling off into the distance, although it does rather scare the bejesus out of me.

I would love to try this but am a bit of a scaredy cat!

Bravo Moogie! I'm terrified of heights too, which is why I did the zip line and a 200-foot climb and rappel some years ago so I know exactly why you did this. Now you never have to again (isn't that beautiful!?).

You are very daring and brave! I'm afraid of heights, I dare not even go to the balcony of my sister's condo which is on the 14th floor! Even if I do take a peek, my tummy will do a somersault! I'm a chicken when it comes to heights!

I have never been fond of roller coasters! I don't think I would have the guts to do this. Good on you.

Great job!! Zip lines are so much fun. I watched a guy fall off one last year and luckily only broke his finger (it was a small one and he only fell a few feet.) I still got up and rode it again after that though.
