My Little Snow Garden

A dusting of snow covered a small area of my driveway. So I scooped up a handful to create this pretty little gift for you.

"Announced by all the trumpets of the sky,
Arrives the snow, and, driving o'er the fields,
Seems nowhere to alight: the whited air
Hides hills and woods, the river and the heaven,
And veils the farm-house at the garden's end.
The sled and traveller stopped, the courier's feet
Delayed, all friends shut out, the housemates sit
Around the radiant fireplace, enclosed
In a tumultuous privacy of Storm."
Emerson,The Snow Storm.

Yonca, I am not a lover of snow. That's why I live in the South.

How pretty! And a unique way to appreciate the snow.

We've finally dug out here but the roads are still a mess.

Thank you; haven't seen that poem since I taught H.S. English. Love your snow garden so much more than the dirty stuff outside.

Moogie - Love your "SNOW", it's beautiful. As you know, I am so not loving the snow these days.

And yes, I am counting down the days to the cruise!!! 14 days and counting! Actually off to Vegas next week on business first.
