Mmmmm 10 fabulous things that I want to share with you. I suppose I could air all the family's dirty laundry with you. But I am waiting for an offer from a TV producer to make the mini-series. So for now you are only going to hear mundane pieces of interest. And here they are:
1. I am still very much in love with my husband. It's been 39 very interesting years we have shared together. In that time, we raised a daughter into a person that I'm extremely proud of. She in turn married a man that we are thrilled to call Son. And they gave us the gift of a wonderful grandson.
2. My blog has been a great motivator. How easy it could be to sit back in this stage in my life and do nothing. Instead I have pushed myself to try new recipes and learn from my mistakes on how to create an interesting blog ( I still have much to learn). But how thankful I am that I took the big step of exposing myself to the world, for I have made so many wonderful new friends from all over the globe. And I have discovered that food is the common denominator.
3. I was raised in the back woods of the Appalachian Mountains. The oldest daughter of 8 children. I am also a twin, he is one of my 6 brothers. My sister and I are still very close despite the fact that I live 1000 miles away.
4. During my life I have painted murals, baked scads of cakes and cookies as extra income while I worked at a local department store, processing the data of incoming orders.
5. I love to sew, especially costumes. My daughter also shares this thrill.
6. I love grocery stores. Yeah I know it's kind of weird. But I love to go into all kinds of stores, little, big, ethnic, specialty, and just browse the shelves. Again my daughter shares this thrill.
7. I love living in the deep south. It has been a place I call home for the past thirty year. And it will always be the place I call home.
8. I love gardening. Although since our last move, when we decided to downsize, our yard is much smaller. I still have the room to exercise my green thumb.
9. A good book is still a great companion for me. It is a wonderful luxury to curl up with a warm throw and become one with a story.
10. I know that you can teach an old dog new tricks. And I have much more that I want to learn.
Here is where I am to share the award with other worthy bloggers. Unfortunately, today, I have no time to do that. So I will post them at a later date.
Thank you again Annalisa for bestowing this award on silly old me.
